FRP Dosing Tanks

FRP Dosing Tanks are chemical feed tanks made from high-grade fiberglass-reinforced plastic. They are designed to store and inject treatment chemicals with precision. As noted by industry suppliers, these tanks are “highly resistant to corrosion and chemical attack,” making them ideal for handling acids, caustics, oxidizers and polymers. Constructed in various sizes, an FRP dosing tank may include top manway, bottom outlet, level gauge, and an optional mixer.

Key Features

  • Corrosion-Resistant Fiberglass: FRP tank walls and baffles of premium vinyl ester or epoxy-based resin.
  • Exact Capacity: Available in stock sizes (e.g. 100 L – 10,000 L) or custom-engineered volumes.
  • Accessory Integration: Fittings for dosing pump, piping, vents, and supports for level instruments.
  • Lightweight & Modular: Easy to ship and set up; multiple tanks can be combined for larger systems.

Benefits

  • Safe Chemical Handling: No pitting or flaking like metal; compatible with chlorine, sulphuric/hydrochloric acids, alkalis (NaOH), hydrogen peroxide, etc.
  • Ease of Installation: Lighter weight reduces crane and foundation requirements. Tanks arrive fully assembled and gel-coated.
  • Longevity: FRP tanks typically outlast carbon steel by a factor of 5–10.

Applications

Chemical dosing in potable water treatment, wastewater pH adjustment, iron flocculation, disinfection, and any industrial process requiring precise addition of reagents.

Technical Specifications

Standard pressure rating often up to 1.2 bar. Typical wall laminate ~6–10 mm FRP with 10–20% reinforcement in critical zones. Plastic liners (PP, PVDF) optional for extra harsh chemicals.

Unique Selling Points
