Roofing Sheets

FRP Roofing Sheets are corrugated or profiled composite panels used for industrial and commercial roofs. Manufactured by continuous lamination, they come in widths up to 2.2 m and thicknesses 0.6–2.5 mm. Both opaque and translucent (skylight) variants can be produced, with UV-stabilized gelcoat for fade resistance. The fiberglass matrix makes them lightweight and corrosion-free, unlike metal roofing. Arvind Composites notes that their FRP sheets “can provide insulation against heat”, improving energy efficiency, and are used for “roofing sheets including translucent skylights”. Optional fire-resistant resins and anti-microbial coatings can be applied for specialized environments.

Key Features

  • Pultruded/corrugated FRP panels; UV-blocking polyester gelcoat (in multiple colors); large-span panels to cover broad roofs; available transparent grades for daylighting.

Benefits

  • Rust-proof and rot-proof (ideal for marine/coastal or chemical plants); thermal insulation (cooler buildings and potential energy savings); lighter than steel (reduces structural demands); maintenance-free (no repainting or resealing).

Applications

  • Warehouse, factory, carport and pergola roofs; greenhouse and agricultural structures (translucent panels); outdoor shelters and canopies.

Technical Specifications

  • Standard corrugation profiles (e.g. 76/18 or custom); fire-retardant option to Class A/B; available fire-spread ratings per ASTM E84. Thermal conductivity roughly 0.3 W/m·K (for comparison, metal is ~50 W/m·K).

Unique Selling Points (USPs)

  • ssThe combination of translucency and strength is unique – one product can provide daylight and shelter. FRP roofing resists fading and cracking for decades, and does not leach like plastics or corrode like metals.
